February. The postponement is due to the delay in post-production works as well as the release of Jai Bolo Telangana. Though KSDA also is a hottest project and has enough attention, Varma wisely took this decision as Jai Bolo Telangana grabs much attention in the Nizam area.
However, KSDA will now releases with Nagarjuna starrer Gaganam, releasing on 11th February. KSD Appalraju casts Sunil, Swathi, and Sakshi in the key roles. The movie is made with the hard hitting satires on film industry celebrities and media persons. KSDA has music by Koti and cinematography by Sudhakar Yakkanti
K.S. Chitra, popularly known as South Indian Nightingale, has completed three decades i.e thirty years as a playback singer with more than 15,000 songs to her credit. Now she wants to focus on classical music alone.
The 47-year-old has sung for films in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Oriya, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Badaga and Punjabi languages, total of 10 languages.
Her husband Vijaya Shankar, an engineer by profession, said: "She says she likes to continue singing but apart from singing film songs, she would like to concentrate on classical music. Of course, we are all happy the way she has progressed and we don't think there are any resolutions that have been arrived at, as she completes three decades of singing."
Over the years, Chitra has won six National Film Awards, five Film fare Awards and more than 30 state film awards.
Born on July 27, 1963, in the capital city, she had her first music teacher as her father after which she was trained by K. Omanakutty in Carnatic music.
Chitra is a post graduate in music from the Kerala University and was first introduced as a Malayalam playback singer by M.G. Radhakrishnan.
Her first singing assignment was for the Malayalam movie "Attahasam" in the year 1979, but it was released only in 1983. Her first recorded song was a duet with legendary singer Yesudas in "Njaan Ekananu".
She is the only female playback singer to have sung maximum number of songs for Oscar winning composer A.R. Rahman for Tamil and Telugu movies as well.
Last year alone, she sung for more than 40 films in various languages.
To mark her three decades in the industry, she is organizing an event on Feb 15 along with Asianet Cable Vision.
Charmi’s next film Mangala has completed its entire shooting part and is currently undergoing its graphics works. Being directed by Osho Tulasiram of Mantra fame and being produced by Osho Tulasiram and C H V Sharma jointly under the banner Mantra Entertainments, Vishwa has scored the music for the film.
The film-makers say that Mangala will also thrill the audiences like ‘Mantra’ and Charmi’s acting will be the main attraction in the film along with Vishwa’s music. Graphics play much importance in the film. Mangala is gearing up for its release in February.
Saikiran Adavi who has earlier directed the experimental films Vinayakudu and Village lo Vinayakudu is now teaming with the well-known producer Dil Raju for his next directorial. Saikiran Adavi, himself has produced his earlier directorial Village lo Vinayakudu but his new film will be produced by Dil Raju.
The movie is titled as Kerintha and Dil Raju, who was impressed with script, came forward to produce the flick with all the new-comers. The movie is likely to move to the sets very shortly. Meanwhile, Dil Raju’s Gaganam is ready to hit the screens on 11th February and his Mr.Perfect is currently wrapping the final schedule.
Manchu Lakshmi, who proved her mettle in Telugu film industry with Anaganaga O Dheerudu is all set to act in her 2nd film titled Gundello Godari. Recently, a debutant director Kumar has narrated a storyline to Manchu Lakshmi and the actress who was impressed with the story much is said to have given her nod for the film.
On the other hand Lakshmi is busy with her next production venture with Manchu Manoj in the lead role. Titled as Uu Kodathara Ulikkipadathara, the pre-production works of the film will begin soon. She is also busy with the talk show Prematho Mee Lakshmi being aired on small screens.
Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja, Richa Gangopadhyaya, Deeksha Seth's Mirapakaya has collected a huge sum of Rs. 25.04 crores in two weeks of its run. Being directed by Harish Shankar and produced by Ramesh Puppala, Mirapakaya stood as Pongal winner at the Tollywood Box-Office. It is known that Pawan Kalyan is active in 2011 and Pawan’s fans are extremely happy as their actor is coming up with almost four films in the year 2011. Pawan Kalyan is currently busy with the shooting part of Love Aaj Kal remake under the direction of Jayant.C.Paranji.
After this, the actor was supposed to join the sets of Tamil director Vishnuvardhan’s film, which is sequel to Billa. Vishnuvardhan has planned it as bi-lingual flick with Pawan Kalyan as lead in the Telugu version and Ajith as lead in the Tamil version. Prabhas fans are eagerly waiting for the Rebel to take off, since the film is a commercial mass entertainer while his earlier film Darling and the present undershoot film Mr.Perfect are classy films. Prabhas will join the sets of Rebel after Mr.Perfect gets completed.
Nandamuri Bala Krishna starrer Sri Rama Rajyam under the direction of veteran director Bapu is currently being picturised in a grand set in Alwal. The schedule will move on till 5th February 2011. It is known that Bala Krishna is playing the role of Lord Rama and Nayantara as Sita. Currently, few vital scenes on Dr.Akkineni Nageswar Rao (Valmiki), and Nayantara are being canned.
While Srikanth is playing the role of Lakshmana, Sai Kumar will be seen as Baratha in the film. Sri Rama Rajyam showcases the rule and kingdom of Lord Rama. Yalamanchili Sai Babu is producing the film.
Sri Rama Rajyam is slated for a release on 10th June.
